This Automax Network Disconnect product was originaly developed to automaticaly disconnect a FlexPak 3000 drive from an Automax Network. When the power was removed from the FlexPak, the FlexPak's network card became an additional load on the network. This caused the network to loose signal strength. If the network was loaded too much, other devices on the network would loose communication.
